AD ART x NMSS

Evident Presence is an art project presented by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) at Abu Dhabi Art 2023. This initiative sheds light on the journey of individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) through a commissioned two-part installation titled How is nature constant when the sun never rests by artist Maitha Al Omaira. The work explores themes of memory, renewal, and the emotional body, reflecting the complexities of MS while celebrating strength and resilience.

Al Omaira’s installation integrates natural materials to capture memory and environmental traces, mirroring the human body’s connection to nature. The project challenges preconceived notions about MS, encouraging viewers to perceive the condition through a lens of repair, growth, and renewal.
